Skeletons is ambitious, well designed, beautiful to look at, and most importantly, fun. It has a sustainable number of stages, a refreshing variety of level types, and an overall level of refinement to the application that speaks volumes about the experiance of the developer (also check out Deathfall) and their familiarity with the device as lifestyle accessory and tool, and not simply a micro-gaming platform designed to print money. Skeleton’s has a little something for everybody, including the ability to customize your pizza with your selection of toppings, faces, wigs, etc. Thankfully, in this particular instance, we don’t have to. Is it an instant classic, no, but it is actually fun, which is becoming a genuine rarity in the mobile gaming field, a market so thoroughly saturated in knock-offs and ‘copy-paste’ cash grabs we’ve all quietly just come to expectthat from the field. Skeletons ($2.99) has basic, but effective tilt controls, an amusing premise, and a visually interesting art style. According to Riverman Media, it’s pizza and skeletons and at the moment I’m disinclined to argue with them.
